The things that are rooted inside of you will become what grows out of you.

If you have read my blog post for any amount of time, you know I am a huge believer about the importance of your Insides!

You may have heard me say:

What is inside of you will spew out of you.

Who you are on the inside is what people will see on the outside.

You can’t hide what you think others can’t see.

You grow from the inside-out and you heal from the inside-out.

What takes root, will grow.

The person you are when no one is looking is the person you become when people are.

I could go on and on...

When I look at this picture I see pure beauty. What is under the surface is what is allowing the tree to thrive. The roots that intertwine and take hold are giving this tree a foundation to sustain even the toughest of storms.  Those roots, allow the tree to become what we see at the surface.

Normally, we don’t get to see the root system below a tree.  We don’t get to experience this kind of clarity and understanding. In fact, most of us rarely give it much thought.  What an awesome reminder, what is below the surface is what determines what we see above the surface.

Today, I ask. What is under your surface?

What are you allowing to take root in your life?  What are you growing and nurturing?

I am a huge believer that..

Faith grows in the roots.

Hope grows in the roots.

Identity grows in the roots.

Joy grows in the roots.

Beliefs grow in the roots.

May you not look at a tree today without thinking about the roots!
